Implausible, Impossible, Inconceivable and Incredible: Susan is Coming Home

Susan gains strength with each day of solid food, each day better than the last. The plan is to bring her home tomorrow. After all that has happened in the last three weeks, that statement seems staggeringly improbable, but that is in fact the case.

A day may come when the courage of Susan fails, when her body falls and we are left to celebrate her life and stand in the wreckage of her death, but it is not this day.

An hour of tumors and shattered shields when the cancer brings her crashing down, but it is not this day!

This day we fight!

By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, friends and family, hug the ones you love as tightly as you can, and know that there is always hope, no matter the direness of the circumstances or the desperation of the times.

And now you all know I’m a total Lord of the Rings fanboy nerd. I can live with that.

The rollercoaster continues, with Susan still seated by our side. We can all live with that.
